In which area/s do you operate?

North Beach, South Beach, Esplanade, Overport, Ushaka

What are your top three secrets to success?

Honesty, motivation and feedback.

What is the one thing you wish someone had taught you or told you when you first started out in property and why?

I was in the very fortunate position to have a fantastic mentor who taught me all the basics of the real estate business. However, only with time and experience did this knowledge become my own and helped me develop further.

What is the most vital business tool that estate agents should have at their disposal in today’s market and why?

The internet and a cellphone to surf the web and advertise properties on the market. Keeping in contact with every client is vital.

Do you remember the first property you sold?  Please tell us about it.

It was a building in South Beach called Merion Court. The seller’s daughter saw my name badge and told my mother that she needed to sell. I viewed the property the same day and located a buyer on my buyers’ list within the price range. The buyer fell in love with the sea view and purchased the property. The buyer’s granddaughter became a part of the team at our Jawitz Branch.

What advice would you give to new kids on the block about success in their career in property?

You have to remain focused and available 24/7. Feedback is key and every offer brought forward has to be shared with the seller no matter what. I would also advise them to have a good mentor from whom they can learn. It always makes the journey easier in the competitive world of real estate.
