PAM GOLDING PROPERTIES SEAPOINT

Why did you decide to pursue a career in property?

Property has always been my passion; paging through the property pages became my hobby and as soon as my kids could fend for themselves, I decided to take the leap.

What do you find to be the most enjoyable and most challenging aspects of the job?

Most enjoyable – being your own boss in a way.  Challenging – balancing a demanding 24/7 job with family life.

What characteristics, in your opinion, make for a great broker and why?

Honesty and integrity as well as a good dose of stamina! Selling people’s homes and sometimes their most valuable asset requires empathy and a lot of understanding and patience in order to gain confidence and trust.

What are some of your career goals?

My goals are simple. They are to be the best I can be, to continuously improve on my personal best, to be the agent of choice in my hood (freehold property in de Waterkant, Green Point and Sea Point) and to try to be successful in all I do. I do believe in ‘no pain – no gain!’
