Seeff backs 200 learnerships for aspiring estate agents

The Seeff Property Group is giving 200 people, especially BEE candidates, the opportunity through learnerships to enter the real estate industry.

The Seeff Training Academy has secured bursaries from the Services SETA which will enable candidates to navigate their one year internship period and receive training, guidance and preparation to ultimately enable them to obtain the FETC: Real Estate NQF Level 4 qualification.

The Seeff Structured Intern Programme is an integrated programme which Ronel Bornman, Seeff’s National HRD Manager, advises covers all aspects of the real estate business, from an understanding of the real estate environment to relevant legislation, all aspects of marketing, selling and leasing, all documentation and contracts pertaining to real estate transactions and communication and self-development.

The programme assists learners throughout the internship period including preparation of the required Log Book and finally helps them prepare for the Professional Designate Exam (PDE).

Ms Bornman says that Seeff has run a number of these programmes over the last five years with great success and many of the candidates have remained with the property group and have gone on to achieve great success. The opportunities are across the board covering all aspects of real estate, whether you ultimately want to go into sales, rentals or even commercial property.
Fanie Marais, Seeff Licensee for the Welgedacht and Durbanville areas says that his doors are open for new candidates as there is currently a shortage of new entrants in his area. “One of the advantages of making use of this opportunity to enter a career in real estate, is that you can earn while you learn,” he adds.

Candidates will undergo a screening process. To book your place, email the Seeff Training Academy at
