ADVERTORIAL
Inaugural PayProp awards recognise rental agents for exceptional performance
PayProp recently celebrated exceptional client performance on its payment platform with the inaugural PayProp Awards 2021.
Held on 10 June 2021, the PayProp Awards were hosted by PayProp SA CEO Jan Davel, joined by Global CEO and co-founder of PayProp, Johannes van Eeden. Van Eeden noted that while PayProp now operates as a global business across many time zones, its foundations and roots remain firmly South African.
“Location really doesn’t matter as much anymore, especially with the pandemic, but our heritage is South African, and it’s more than just a market for us – it’s who we are.”
The annual awards ceremony was hosted live on the videoconferencing platform Livestorm and attended by 135 rental agency principals, administrators and special guests.
Award highlights
The first award of the day, the PayProp Masters Award, recognised agencies that have been transacting on the PayProp platform for 15 years or more. The award for longest-standing clientele went to RE/MAX Property Associates, specifically the rental book of Warren Leslie, who joined PayProp in October 2004 and has used the platform for an impressive 6 080 uninterrupted days.
The most prestigious accolade, the PayProp Pinnacle Award, recognised the agency with the most exceptional overall performance across all award categories. This award was based on the highest aggregate score across platform tenure, transaction processing volume, tenancy growth and usage of the PayProp product ecosystem. The overall winner was Rawson Properties – Cape Metro Classic, based in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.
