This May, PayProp, has been named Tech Company of the Year – Large at the Global Business Tech Awards 2023.
Launched in 2004, PayProp has grown quickly to become a leading processor of rental payments for the property management industry in the United Kingdom, South Africa, United States, and Canada. Today PayProp processes £2.3bn in rental payments annually for over 2,300 global active property management firms.
The annual Global Business Tech Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding technology developments from around the world in 28 categories – from entrepreneurial start-ups to recognised market leaders. The Awards are judged by leading tech industry experts from around the world and judging is ethical, transparent and fair with all entrants receiving feedback on their submissions. Judges included Chris Barnicott, chief technology officer for SSE PLC, Ellie England, sales director at Microsoft, and Pankaj Pilaniwala, product manager at Google to name a few.
To qualify for the Tech Company of the Year – Large, nominees in this category need an annual turnover of over £50m/$67m. PayProp cleared this comfortably in its fiscal year 2022–2023, processing £2.2bn/R45.5bn in rental payments for more than 260,000 active tenancies worldwide.
Announcing the winners, judges referred to PayProp as ‘innovative and impressive’. They also praised the company’s recently released new management reporting features that make it easier for clients to generate detailed custom reports on any aspect of their rental portfolio, including data on tenants, commission, arrears and income.
“This title represents a culmination of 19 years of hard work, passion and pushing boundaries,” says Johannes Van Eeden, CEO of PayProp. “I want to thank every member of PayProp’s talented workforce, whose unwavering dedication has driven our success.”
