BetterBond Rebrands as BetterLife Home Loans

BetterBond Home Loans, South Africa’s biggest mortgage origination company, has been renamed BetterLife Home Loans, to align its brand with its sister companies in the BetterLife Group. “However,” said CEO Shaun Rademeyer, “the renaming process goes much further than just changing the sign over the door. As a group, BetterLife is purposefully focused on providing products and services to help our customers, partners and staff achieve better lives and make their dreams a reality. That is the primary reason for its existence, and because a home loan is the foundation of a better life for many people, we felt that our name should also incorporate and represent this singular BetterLife vision.”

Started by Rudi Botha in 2001 when mortgage origination in South Africa was still in its infancy, BetterBond Home Loans grew rapidly and in 2003 merged with PA Homeloans to become the country’s second biggest originator. Botha’s plans for the company did not end there and, having survived one of the world’s worst recessions in decades, today the group encompasses several other respected names in the industry and has helped more than one million South Africans realise their dreams of home ownership.

Under Rademeyer’s leadership since 2012, BetterLife Home Loans is now also a subsidiary of a cohesive financial solutions group that offers a range of insurance solutions specifically designed to empower consumers and enhance their lives by protecting them against the unexpected.

“We are as passionate about our customers, our business partners and our staff as we are about our business,” Rademeyer said. “Our aim is to build a world-class organisation, and we believe this can only be achieved if we concentrate on building strong and sustainable relationships and friendships with all our stakeholders at the same time as we pursue excellence in our business operations. We also believe that we have an important role to play in improving the circumstances and enabling the dreams of those less fortunate than ourselves, and to this end we have committed to a strong programme of investment in many communities and causes nominated by our staff and partners.”
