BetterHome Group announced today that it has invested in Just Property Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd, one of the leading residential real estate companies in South Africa and one of the most recognised brands in the real estate industry. The investment represents the formalisation of a long-standing relationship between the Group and Just Property

“We are delighted to be partnering with Just Property,” says Jacques Rossouw, CEO of Real Estate for BetterHome Group. “The business has made significant strides under the leadership of CEO Paul Stevens, and we look forward to supporting him and his team as they grow and scale it even further. We are always looking for opportunities to add value to more of our real estate customers, whether by investing in or partnering with them or by delivering valuable products and services, and we are excited about how we can contribute to the further success of this established brand and its customers,” he explains.

Just Property was founded in 2000 as Just Letting and has since grown into a full-service real estate company. Today, the business and its 117 franchisees manage over 13 500 rental properties, while employing over 850 agents and support staff across South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

“Partnering with a Group that is fully invested in the real estate industry will open new doors of opportunity for our franchisees and give us the support we need to keep innovating and moving our business forward,” says Just Property CEO Paul Stevens. “BetterHome Group is leading the way in investing and innovating in the real estate industry, and we are excited about the value its market-leading solutions can add for our clients, agents, developers, and partners. With inflation easing and interest rates starting to come down, our industry is poised for growth after a tough season, and with BetterHome Group as a partner, we believe that our Group, franchisees, and property professionals are well-positioned for an exciting new chapter,” he concludes.

BetterHome Group continues to invest in the future of the real estate industry and is focused on building enduring relationships based on trust and mutual respect with both national agencies and independent real estate businesses. Since 2015, it has partnered with several businesses that specialise in the home journey with the intention of making this journey a dream experience so that more South Africans can realise their dreams of homeownership.

“We are committed to supporting real estate entrepreneurs for the benefit of an industry that we are passionate about,” says Rossouw. “Just Property has an outstanding reputation based on years of experience and knowledge gained in the residential, commercial and rental markets. It has been a real pleasure working with a group of exceptional real estate professionals whose values are an excellent fit with our culture at BetterHome Group, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to build Just Property, and to seeing the business thriving and excelling,” he concludes.
