After an exciting year-long celebration for its 60th birthday, Seeff Property Group has officially handed over its massive R1 million cash prize to one lucky seller, Mrs Annemaria van Niekerk. Samuel Seeff, chairman of Seeff Property Group, says the competition was all about giving back to loyal clients who have put their trust in Seeff for six decades.
The competition ran from May last year to the end of April 2025, and aimed to reward one seller who successfully sold their property on an exclusive sole mandate with Seeff. It also rewarded the winning agent with a R100,000 cash prize, and the branch with R25,000.
When the successful seller got the call from Samuel Seeff, she could hardly believe her ears. “I was shocked and thought that I was dreaming. It still feels like I am dreaming!” said Mrs. van Niekerk, who is retired. She chose Seeff because of its reputation for good service, and highly recommends Rebecca Maredi, the successful agent, for her excellent and honest service. “She is always available for advice,” she says. Mrs. van Niekerk plans on investing her winnings and using the interest earned as part of her retirement.
Of course, behind every great sale is a great agent, says Samuel Seeff, who called Rebecca Maredi from Seeff Mokopane to give her the wonderful news that she was the winning agent, bagging an incredible R100,000. In an amazing turn of events, Rebecca sold Mrs. van Niekerk’s home in just one day after it had been on the market with two other agencies for months. Securing the sole mandate was not an easy task, but she did it, and actually had six entries into the competition. This was the first time that Rebecca had won a prize. She said, “It was an exciting moment, I did not believe that the prize would come to this small town, especially my client.” Her son wants to become a doctor, and Rebecca plans to use the prize money to help pay for his education.
The celebration did not stop there, however, as the Seeff Mokopane branch also got to celebrate with a R25,000 cash prize for being the winning office. Nicole Teich, licensee for Seeff Mokopane says, “We are absolutely thrilled and honoured that a seller from our branch won this incredible competition! It was a proud moment for our whole team.”
She says Seeff’s trusted and enduring presence in the Mokopane real estate market is built on professionalism and integrity, nurturing success for the community and the team. They focus on sole mandates as these are the key to successful and streamlined sales by focusing marketing efforts and ensuring expert support at every step.
The branch will reinvest the prize money into the community and the team through local sponsorships, team development and enhanced marketing tools. “This win is just the beginning – we are inspired to keep raising the bar of real estate services in Mokopane,” concludes Nicole.
