What are your top three secrets to success?

Always stay in contact with your clients; strive to be different; and never procrastinate – do what you have to do today to ensure sales tomorrow.

 

What is the one thing you wish someone had taught you or told you when you first started out in property and why?

I honestly wish someone had told me exactly how much work was involved in this job. I don’t think people wanting to get into this industry realise how hard-working they need to be.

 

What is the most vital business tool that estate agents should have at their disposal in today’s market and why?

The most vital business tool to have is the knowledge of the market you are selling in. Know your area and know your clients. If you have this one tool, you are set.

 

Do you remember the first property you sold? Please tell us about it.

Yes. The first property I sold was listed on a Thursday and sold on a Saturday to the first person who viewed it. I did hardly any work on the property and was misled into thinking that this job was easy.

 

What advice would you give to new kids on the block about making a success in their career in property?

Don’t ever give up. Keep going and do your best every day, even on slow days. The rewards will come.
