The PPRA hosted the Minister of Human Settlements and property practitioners in Sandton on Tuesday, the 11th of July. The event speakers included the Minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi, PPRA Chairperson Steven Ngubeni, and acting PPRA CEO, Thato Ramaili amongst others. We delve into the Minister’s speech and look at Mr Ngubeni’s speech.

Despite the ongoing strike (which shows no signs of ending) Ms. Ramaili took the opportunity to share several new developments at the PPRA, including addressing a long-held bugbear – the contact details for relevant parties at the PPRA.

Who do you reach out to for what at the PPRA?

Gone are the generic queries@ppra.org.za emails, says Ramaili, “We’ve heard your cries over the years saying that we as the PPRA hide behind generic emails, but that will cease to exist today. I’d like to introduce you to our new chiefs so that you know who the responsible persons behind your queries are so that you can hold us accountable, that you can hold me accountable”.

Here’s who to contact going forward:

“So next time colleagues when you are emailing me, which you do quite a lot, I want you to know that these are the responsible people to reach out to, we will then cascade it down to our subordinates. We are here to serve you”, said Ramaili.
