As we usher in the New Year, the NPPC (National Property Practitioners Council) and Rebosa (Real Estate Business Owners of South Africa) have both made key appointments, welcoming a CEO and Chairman, respectively.

Nontuthuzelo Ntshebetu joins the NPPC

Ntshebetu brings over 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors to her new role as CEO of the NPPC.  She spent ten years as the Deputy Director in the SADC division of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, followed by several years as a consultant, before moving to the position of Assistant Company Secretary at Fraser Alexander.

More recently, Nontuthuzelo worked in the property industry as a practitioner before becoming an independent property consultant – a role she’s occupied for five years.  While she holds a BProc degree from the University of the Western Cape, she has also completed her NQF4 in real estate.

“I am confident that Nontuthuzelo will contribute immensely to the NPPCs goals and mandate, further enhancing our collective efforts towards advancing the interests of all property practitioners, achieving cooperation between government and industry and, more importantly, promoting industry transformation and inclusivity”, shares Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, NPPC chairperson.

“This is an important appointment, and Rebosa is pleased that the NPPC has chosen the right person with a wealth of experience for the role. We wish her well and look forward to close collaboration with Nontuthuzelo in the years ahead”, shares Jan le Roux, CE of Rebosa.

Adrian Goslett steps up as Rebosa chairman

Well-known industry leader and Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa has been elected as chairman of Rebosa, following the end of Rawson’s managing director, Tony Clarke’s three-year tenure at the end of 2023.

“I am deeply honoured and grateful to have been appointed as the new Chairman of REBOSA. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the real estate industry and work collaboratively with fellow members to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. Together, we will strive to promote a thriving real estate sector that benefits both industry professionals and the communities we serve. I look forward to leading and working with the REBOSA team to achieve our shared goals and objectives,” says Goslett.

“Adrian brings to the role a wealth of experience and a longstanding commitment to improving the real estate industry. We have every confidence that he will be an asset not only to Rebosa, but to the profession at large”, shares le Roux.
