CEO Ms Thato Ramaili presented the PPRA Transformation Graduations: 34 Graduates Honoured in PPRA’s “One Learner, One Property Practitioner” Programme

1 November 2024 was a memorable day and a significant milestone for transformation within the South African property sector when thirty-four learners celebrated their graduation from the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority’s (PPRA) “One Learner, One Property Practitioner” programme. The 2023 cohort included 27 black women, exemplifying PPRA’s commitment to promoting diversity and creating opportunities for historically disadvantaged individuals since the promulgation of the Act in 2022.

The graduation ceremony, hosted by PPRA’s chief risk officer, Xolile Nomadolo, was an inspiring gathering of industry professionals, PPRA leadership, and esteemed graduates.

CEO, Thato Ramaili delivered a powerful keynote address focusing on the programme’s transformative impact. She praised the graduates for their hard work and determination, underlining the programme’s role in driving. The CEO further said the learners’ decisions to join the industry were great ones.

One of the highlights of the day was an announcement by the Virtual Agent’s Candice Owen, who generously offered each graduate exclusive CRM tools. Each graduate received complimentary, unlimited access to a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, 10 data credits and five property reports. This support package will enable the graduates to kickstart their careers with robust tools, providing a competitive edge and facilitating the growth of their practices. The CEO believes in opportunities that could provide stock for property practitioners to compete in the economy.

The generous sponsorship from Services SETA and Virtual Agent contributed to the event’s success. Representing Services SETA, Thembinkosi Mosia offered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for the partnerships and collaboration that brought the ceremony to life.

Organised by Jonathan Thekiso, PPRA’s chief corporate support officer, this celebration underscored the commitment of all parties involved to uplift and support the next generation of property practitioners. The “One Learner, One Property Practitioner” programme is a vital initiative in South Africa’s journey toward a more inclusive property industry.

Congratulations to the graduates on this remarkable achievement. May their journeys continue to inspire and transform the industry.
