RE/MAX

This year marks a momentous milestone for RE/MAX of Southern Africa as the brand celebrates 30 years of delivering exceptional real estate services to communities across the region. Since its inception in 1994, RE/MAX has grown from a bold idea into a household name, with a legacy of excellence and innovation that continues to shape the property landscape.

As we commemorate this remarkable journey, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the visionary founders, Peter and Val Gilmour. Their pioneering spirit and dedication laid the foundation for the RE/MAX story in Southern Africa. Their commitment to creating a platform where real estate professionals could thrive has been instrumental in the brand’s enduring success.

“Peter and Val’s belief in the potential of the RE/MAX model in Southern Africa has had an immeasurable impact not only on the industry but also on the lives of countless clients and agents,” says Adrian Goslett, Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa. “We owe much of our success to their foresight and passion for empowering real estate professionals.”

Today, RE/MAX of Southern Africa boasts a dynamic network of over 3,300 agents and over 170 offices across the region. This milestone is not just a celebration of the past three decades but also a testament to the brand’s forward-thinking approach and adaptability in an ever-evolving market.

RE/MAX also pays tribute to the pioneer brokers and agents who joined the network in its early days and have remained steadfast partners on this incredible journey. Their loyalty, hard work, and commitment have been the backbone of the brand’s success, enabling RE/MAX to consistently deliver outstanding service to buyers, sellers, and investors. To thank them for their loyalty, RE/MAX treated their founder franchise owners & associates to a special retreat at De Hoek Country Hotel in Magaliesburg at the end of last year.

The brand also plans to celebrate this milestone as part of their biennial national convention held at Sun City in February 2025. This 2-night event sees over 900 RE/MAX guests gather together for conferencing, networking, and a star-studded awards ceremony to acknowledge the network’s success from the year before.

“Looking ahead, RE/MAX remains committed to innovation and excellence, continuing to empower agents and brokers with the tools and resources they need to succeed while helping clients achieve their property dreams. We are looking forward to celebrating our past achievements and look ahead to our future success at our Convention in February,” Goslett concludes.
